Entering the realm of Disney - a world on its own! |

We did a quick visit in Animal Kingdom, but never got to meet Simba... |
Notice the rollercoaster tracks going in to the "mountain" on the left |
I got crazy during the show on the Disney castle - here's about half of the pictures I snapped |
::::
We finally made it to Orlando!
We spent the first couple of days getting installed in our rooms, buying our tickets, and shopping a bit in one of Orlando's countless malls.
It's kind of funny to travel across the Atlantic and then end up spending most of your time in H&M..... :-P
Monday morning we left early for Disney!
Disney World in Orlando consists of 4 parks and 2 water parks.
Our ticket gave access to the 4 parks for 4 days, and we could travel between the parks during the day as much as we wanted too.
The parks are gigantic, and as soon as you are within the boundaries of Disney, there is free Disney transportation to all parks and resorts whether it's by boat, bus or train.
People say that before Disney, Orlando was close to not there - Orlando IS Disney. Because the Disney area is SO big, the distances between everything is really big too, and it will usually take you at least 20-30 minutes to get anywhere - and that's if your lucky with the traffic.
For our first Disney day we had decided to go to Magic Kingdom (the traditional Disney experience9, take a short trip to Magic Kingdom (safari and more), and then end our day back in Magic Kingdom to watch the light/music/fireworks show on the castle during the evening.
It seems kind of weird, but many might think that after you turn 14 you are too old for Disney, but I can guarantee you that you are not! It was actually a really cool experience, and it was easy to get caught up in the Disney magic when you saw all the things around you just like what you watched on TV as a kid :-)
The rides were all very different, and to someone like me who's not too big on the crazy rides, it was nice that there was so much other stuff to see and do.
After more than 12 hours in the parks we were ready to go home and get some rest before another day.
