Leaving Miami Downtown |

::::
After our first two nights at the hotel we checked out and spent the day in Downtown Miami. First we spent a few hours at the beach, and then we went on to a nice little restaurant with Wi-Fi, so we could solve our apartment problem.
At this time the 22 people had gone down to 15 - but people were getting close to arriving in Miami - and we were once again without a place to stay!
After a nice lunch and an intensive search it finally happened!
We found a small house - a good way out of Miami Downtown and South Beach, but we could squeeze everybody in there, the price was reasonable, and most importantly it was FREE - so we booked it!
We could check-in the night after, so we stayed one more night in our little hotel room after strolling the streets of Miami Downtown and specifically Lincoln Road, which is the busiest and most touristy place in entire Miami.
The next day (the 29th) it was one of the guys' birthday and we celebrated with a really nice boat trip.
We went on a 60-70 feet catamaran and went all the way out to the ocean and back just sailing! We then went in to the bay where we could snorkel and swim. Unfortunately the weather and water was too grey to see anything, but it was a great trip and also a great way to celebrate a birthday and the fact that we now had an apartment :-)
After the trip we went out to our new home for the next couple of days - in Little Haiti.. And now some of you who know Miami are probably thinking "Little Haiti"?!?!
This area of the town is known as being one of the worst in Miami (but we didn't know that when we booked it)... - and I will hurry to say that we all made it home safely!
After checking in we again rushed to Wal-Mart to shop for the apartment... We spent 3 hours in Wal-Mart that night...
